FriendVenn: Diagram your FriendFeed subscribers & subscriptions
I’ve wanted to be able to see a list of mutual subscriptions in my FriendFeed account and the people on either side of that. I was thinking about this on a long bus ride yesterday and seeing how it’s really easy, put it together in an hour or so. Figured if other folks might be interested also so FriendVenn was born.
The main problem with this is that because there’s no API to figure it out, I have to actually log in as you to get the requisite information. That means you have to enter your actual FriendFeed login information not just the remote api key. That’s probably a show stopper for many folks, but hey, I was going to write it for me anyway.
I can promise you that login information is at no point stored anywhere. It comes in, I use it to log in to FF as you, get exactly the pages necessary to find your subscriptions and subscribers and get out. That’s it. Of course you only have my word on that, but hey. It’s the internet, what could go wrong? I’ve always said that I’m very trustworthy.
