No one likes the French, stereotype or statistical probability?? Well, it turns out that it’s both! Well, when it comes to French tourists, at least, a new survey shows that the French are now considered the most obnoxious tourists (excepting the Indian and Chinese, hey man, Time wrote this shit, not me). (via) That’s right, they are disliked even more than American tourists! Yay for France! Apparently the most beloved tourists are Japanese – although as we learned from Heist, no one looks at Japanese tourists.

Perhaps once the French all have iPhones this problem will be partially solved, since Google now provides walking directions on its maps. You know, cause they’ll all have iPhones and then they won’t have to ask for directions? And the survey said that they didn’t try to speak local languages? See? Get it? Hmm…

Well, anyway, the iPhone cometh, at least, and the Apple store bounced today and brings us some new stuff, like the iPhone 3G! Also a beefed up iMac line which now starts at 2.4GHz and goes up to 3.06GHz. Was that .06 really necessary? Sadly the MacBook line hasn’t been boosted yet. It’s long overdue, I’m wondering if they’re waiting till after the iPhone launch to A) not steal any iPhone thunder and B) capitalize on all the many people with new iPhones who might then decide it might be a good idea to get a new super cool MacBook to go with their fancy new phone. With laptops being all the marketshare rage these days and the MacBooks long overdue, I’m guessing this refresh is going to be a whopper.
