Hot art on a snowy Monday.
Swedish scientists have been doing some important work. They’ve discovered that pedigree dogs are getting dumber. (via) Where dogs used to be bred for soem work or other so they were chosen based on their ability, now they’re being chosen based, more or less, on their cuddliness and as a result brains gets left behind in this evolutionary equation. That’s pretty sad, if you ask me. But don’t let the frisbee dogs here you say that… they’re the bomb.
On the flip side of the spectrum, Zurich is doing it’s darned tootinest to get rid of BO and for that I applaud them. To that end, they’ve banned municipal workers from having too much body odor. Whoa! It is unclear to me how this will be enforced, except maybe by co-workers narcing on their smelly friend. Man! That’s tough love. Now if only NYC would issue this ban in the subways and buses over the summer. Ya heard!
Finally, while Polaroid did die (and I’m talking about that fancy instant film part) phoenix-like it seems to have re-arisen with the Impossible Project, The Re-invention of Instant Film! Pretty interesting, someone’s gone and acquired all the gear and buildings that housed one film producing factory and they’re looking to not re-build it as it was, but build it faster and stronger than before! Like the 6-million dollar man of instant film! And they need you to help out! Although, they don’t tell you how you can help, you can sign up so – if you love Polaroid film, go forth and register!
