So, ok, so, China. So this guy’s got a lot of money and he’s been supporting 5 mistresses in addition to his wife. But even adulterers have taken it hard in this economic environment and he decided he needed to lay off 4 of them – so he hit on this great idea to have a contest the winner of which he’d keep! Brilliant! He hired an instructor form a modelling agency and had some contests, I guess eliminating one each time – it went from a beauty round all the way to a drinking round! So, one of the losers decides to exact revenge on them by driving the guy and the 4 other mistresses off a mountain road. Wow. It didn’t quite work out as planned – she died they all survived – but as this became news all the mistresses and his wife left him. So you know… sucks for everyone. Tough break, dude.

In more feats of brilliance, this time across the world a drug dealer shed his jacket containing £1,400 worth of drugs and apparently his cellphone in a garden. He then began texting his phone demanding his drugs back in an increasingly belligerent fashion, endearing texts like “I know which f****** garden it was. I’ll burn your house down. Get in touch otherwise you’ll get f*** all apart from a gun in the mouth.” So yeah. But, it didn’t seem to cross his mind that, well, the cops would be in possession of all his gear and they promptly went and arrested the crap out of that guy. Sigh.

And in the very other end of the spectrum, you gotta check this out. Someone has gone and written a 224 word (word! not character) poem that is also a palindrome. I mean, how do you even go about that? It’s insane. It begins like this “Dammit I’m mad. Evil is a deed as I live.” and gets better. One time I wrote a palindrome that was like twice as long as this one and it rhymed, too. Sometimes, though, it didn’t make sense when you read it backwards. I was working on that part but then I got bored and the tv was on.
