Ok. So… in Northern California, a 30 year old woman is claiming she was protecting her daughter by diverting some boys’ attention to herself, by you know, I guess, having sex with them. Which, you must admit is certainly a way to get a 15 or 16 year old boy’s attention. She’s going to court, I guess not long after that she’ll be going to jail.

Boys Scouts. They’re now being trained in situations like chasing down illegal border crossers as well as more dangerous situations that include facing down terrorists and taking out “active shooters.” (via) W.T.F. How do you get from carving your pinewood derby car to having a Border Patrol agent explain to you that to quiet a lookout you “Put him on his face and put a knee in his back, I guarantee that he’ll shut up.”? I can’t cope.

And in exciting news, anyone who follows my twitter account or reads any nerdy blogs – which must mean all of you – already got the news that Dollhouse has been renewed! Totally kick ass. Apparently one of the conditions is that the show gets a smaller budget – I think that’s happening to several shows. Fortunately, if anyone knows how to make a kick ass show on a budget it’s Joss Whedon, so that’s not worrying at all. Also, they’ll stop getting to have those super short commercial breaks which I kinda figured would go anyway. So, basically, this is just really great news. Sadly it looks like Terminator’s gone, but maybe that opens the door to Summer Glau showing up on Dollhouse! My crystal ball says chances are good…
